We accept submissions in English with a minimal length of 400 word count and at least 1 original image.
You can write about any topic with a cultural angle or affinity. This could be a more in-depth insider view, a traveler’s report or an opinion article. We do aim to maintain a certain emphasis on cultural aspects and a balance in type of contributions.
Add one or more countries to categorize your article under.
We shy away from contributions with too dominant political tones in general, as we believe political rhetoric distracts from the more interesting and underlying cultural and social streams.
We fully recognize the uniqueness of each language to express concepts, emotions and ideas that cannot be properly translated. Yet, we also aim to make those cultural aspects accessible to outsiders and chose English as the main language to share these insights. We welcome and encourage a supplement to the English submission in an original language however. Please try to add footnotes in English to explain language particularities that are hard to translate.
